Pablo Picasso (1881-1973)

Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain. Although born in Spain, he worked primarily in France. He was a painter, sculptor, graphic artist and ceramist. He is generally considered in his technical virtuosity, enormous versatility and incredible originality and prolificacy to have been the foremost figure in Twentieth-Century art. Picasso died on April 8, 1973 in Paris, France.

Picasso's black and white image of the dove of peace arriving at the 'Dance For Peace' couldn't have been more timely. Only the master could have created so much joy and hopefulness so effortlessly. The lithograph is signed, in pencil, in the lower right by Picasso. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the National Art Guild, Peace Party Edition (Paris, France) registration number PPSH7.
